Synopsis
Im Ju-kyung (Moon Ga-young), an 18-year-old high school student with an inferiority complex about her looks, has been repeatedly discriminated against by her family and tormented by her friends because she is considered as unattractive.
She begins her cosmetic education by binge-watching makeup lesson videos on YouTube. Her makeover becomes transformational when she learns the technique shortly before moving to her new school, as she soon climbs to renown and her friends refer to her as a "goddess."
Despite her newfound fame, Ju-kyung still thinks she's unattractive, and her biggest worry is that her classmates will see her true nature. This comes to pass when her dashingly attractive, popular, and mysterious classmate Lee Su-ho (Cha Eun-woo), whom she had previously encountered with her bare face a handful of times, recognizes her beyond her makeup.
Su-ho is popular among female classmates, yet he despises being the focus of attention and is typically perceived as distant and chilly. He has his own concerns, and he has a dark secret that has been tormenting him for a long time—a sad episode in the past.
Because of this occurrence, he and his previous closest friend Han Seo-jun (Hwang In-youp) have been estranged, and the blame Seo-jun placed on Su-ho has caused him a great deal of shame. As they discover secrets, share their hurts, develop together, and seek solace from each other, Ju-kyung and his estranged buddies Su-ho and Seo-jun create an unusual bond.
